Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financial Services & Real Estate, Telecoms & IT and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 gained 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Arcel. Mittal (MC:MTS), which rose 2.13% or 0.148 points to trade at 7.082 at the close. Bankia (MC:BKIA) added 1.45% or 0.015 points to end at 1.050 and Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) was up 1.38% or 0.21 points to 15.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indra A (MC:IDR), which lost 2.24% or 0.275 points to trade at 12.025 in late trade. Iberdrola (MC:IBE) declined 1.68% or 0.110 points to end at 6.459 and Enagas (MC:ENAG) shed 1.43% or 0.350 points to 24.150.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 88 to 73 and 25 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.19% or 2.40 to $1281.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $50.86 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.26% or 0.14 to trade at $53.07 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.36% to 1.0750, while EUR/GBP rose 0.05% to 0.8384.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 99.53.
