Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Building & Construction and Financial Services & Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.43%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE), which rose 2.80% or 0.710 points to trade at 26.060 at the close. ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS) added 2.12% or 0.640 points to end at 30.860 and Mapfre (MC:MAP) was up 1.87% or 0.051 points to 2.775 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Acciona (MC:ANA), which lost 0.89% or 0.580 points to trade at 64.320 in late trade. ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) declined 0.66% or 0.175 points to end at 26.180 and Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA) shed 0.32% or 0.012 points to 3.798.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 118 to 69 and 13 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.23% or 3.00 to $1321.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.35% or 0.84 to hit $61.20 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.99% or 0.65 to trade at $64.84 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.2329, while EUR/GBP fell 0.10% to 0.8872.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 89.94.
