Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Building & Construction and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS), which rose 10.89% or 2.965 points to trade at 30.195 at the close. Amadeus IT (MC:AMA) added 2.74% or 1.640 points to end at 61.540 and Distribuidora Intl de Aliment (MC:DIDA) was up 1.82% or 0.068 points to 3.810 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (MC:COL), which lost 1.33% or 0.120 points to trade at 8.900 in late trade. ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) declined 0.83% or 0.220 points to end at 26.360 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) shed 0.62% or 0.044 points to 7.012.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 117 to 63 and 14 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.23% or 3.00 to $1324.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 2.76% or 1.66 to hit $61.78 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 2.48% or 1.58 to trade at $65.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.2323, while EUR/GBP fell 0.26% to 0.8893.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 90.02.
