Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financial Services & Real Estate and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Acerinox (BME:ACX), which rose 2.50% or 0.23 points to trade at 9.23 at the close. Puig Brands SA (BME:PUIGb) added 1.72% or 0.32 points to end at 18.93 and Bankinter (BME:BKT) was up 1.47% or 0.11 points to 7.74 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SOLARIA ENERGIA Y MEDIO AMBIENTE (BME:SLRS), which lost 2.28% or 0.20 points to trade at 8.57 in late trade. Cellnex Telecom SA (BME:CLNX) declined 1.65% or 0.53 points to end at 31.53 and Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (BME:COL) shed 1.60% or 0.09 points to 5.53.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 103 to 93 and 22 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.53% or 14.10 to $2,665.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.31% or 0.90 to hit $69.65 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.21% or 0.88 to trade at $73.69 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.65% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 107.04.
