Investing.com – Spain equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Financial Services & Real Estate and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which rose 5.18% or 0.575 points to trade at 11.675 at the close. International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (MC:ICAG) added 2.12% or 0.146 points to end at 7.020 and Caixabank SA (MC:CABK) was up 1.60% or 0.065 points to 4.120 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ACS Actividades de Construccion y Servicios SA (MC:ACS), which lost 1.69% or 0.535 points to trade at 31.070 in late trade. Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) declined 1.45% or 0.28 points to end at 19.00 and Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5) shed 1.35% or 0.129 points to 9.456.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 95 to 79 and 18 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.34% or 4.33 to $1276.13 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.32% or 0.16 to hit $50.30 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.57% or 0.32 to trade at $55.80 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1753, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.8875.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 93.39.
