Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Petrochemicals and Hotels & Tourism sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.85%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Wataniya Insurance Company (SE:8300), which rose 3.27% or 0.85 points to trade at 26.85 at the close. United Cooperative Assurance Co (SE:8190) added 2.62% or 0.34 points to end at 13.34 and Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310) was up 2.20% or 0.46 points to 21.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fawaz Abdulaziz AlHokair Company (SE:4240), which lost 9.21% or 2.10 points to trade at 20.70 in late trade. Saudi Real Estate Co. (SE:4020) declined 4.78% or 0.70 points to end at 13.94 and Al Hokair Group (SE:1820) shed 4.63% or 1.02 points to 21.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 143 to 34 and 6 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $74.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $78.21 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.80 to trade at $1256.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.44% to 4.3907, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 94.00.
