Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Multi Investment and Real Estate Development sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Company for Coop. Insurance (SE:8010), which rose 5.90% or 5.45 points to trade at 97.75 at the close. Saudi United Cooperative Insurance (SE:8060) added 5.71% or 1.20 points to end at 22.20 and Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE:6060) was up 5.47% or 4.45 points to 85.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030), which lost 9.28% or 5.73 points to trade at 56.00 in late trade. AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (SE:2320) declined 6.19% or 2.98 points to end at 45.20 and Saudi Airlines Catering Company (SE:6004) shed 6.15% or 11.24 points to 171.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 109 to 52 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.14% or 0.08 to $56.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.67% or 0.41 to hit $62.49 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.57% or 6.80 to trade at $1196.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.20% to 4.0192, while USD/SAR fell 0.00% to 3.7501.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 98.22.
