Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Media & Publishing and Agriculture & Food sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 1.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Fisheries Co. (SE:6050), which rose 9.94% or 4.90 points to trade at 54.20 at the close. Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE:6060) added 9.59% or 4.00 points to end at 45.70 and Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180) was up 7.93% or 0.82 points to 11.16 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Int Petrochemical Co (SE:2310), which lost 2.73% or 0.60 points to trade at 21.38 in late trade. The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) declined 2.55% or 0.38 points to end at 14.52 and Advanced Petrochemical Company (SE:2330) shed 1.72% or 1.00 points to 57.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 143 to 37 and 9 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.66% or 1.03 to $63.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.56% or 1.12 to hit $72.89 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.51% or 6.65 to trade at $1291.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.21% to 4.1908, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 97.637.
