Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Financial Services and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 1.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (TADAWUL:8030), which rose 5.28% or 1.12 points to trade at 22.32 at the close. Emaar The Economic City (TADAWUL:4220) added 5.00% or 0.40 points to end at 8.40 and Astra Industrial Group (TADAWUL:1212) was up 4.21% or 7.40 points to 183.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (TADAWUL:7040), which lost 3.38% or 4.00 points to trade at 114.20 in late trade. Middle East Healthcare Co CJSC (TADAWUL:4009) declined 3.01% or 2.30 points to end at 74.00 and Almunajem Foods Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4162) shed 2.86% or 2.80 points to 95.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 172 to 130 and 37 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.29% or 0.87 to $68.07 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 1.08% or 0.77 to hit $71.89 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.62% or 16.54 to trade at $2,676.14 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was unchanged 0.03% to 3.97, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.02% to 3.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 105.73.
