Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Agriculture & Food and Industrial Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Emaar The Economic City (SE:4220), which rose 8.45% or 0.74 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310) added 5.69% or 1.08 points to end at 20.06 and Savola Group (SE:2050) was up 5.43% or 1.70 points to 33.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Steel Pipe Company (SE:1320), which lost 2.91% or 0.72 points to trade at 24.02 in late trade. BANK ALBILAD (SE:1140) declined 2.44% or 0.75 points to end at 30.00 and Southern Province Cement Co. (SE:3050) shed 2.16% or 0.95 points to 43.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 71 and 15 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.03% or 0.55 to $53.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.93% or 0.57 to hit $61.77 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.70 to trade at $1310.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.01% to 4.2866, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 95.532.
