Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 1.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which rose 0.28% or 0.40 points to trade at 141.20 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 0.26% or 0.07 points to end at 27.14 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was up 0.17% or 0.3 points to 174.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which lost 3.92% or 1.76 points to trade at 43.18 in late trade. Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) declined 2.25% or 1.11 points to end at 48.24 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) shed 2.24% or 4.70 points to 205.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 439 to 174 and 52 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.10% or 0.05 to $50.23 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $51.83 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.35% or 4.35 to trade at $1258.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.22% to 9.7195, while USD/SEK fell 0.55% to 8.8007.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.36% at 97.64.
