Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.60% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 2.74% or 0.2850 points to trade at 10.6700 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) added 2.18% or 0.0007 points to end at 0.0328 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) was up 1.22% or 0.0380 points to 3.1430 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 5.34% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.1240 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 4.04% or 0.0720 points to end at 1.7100 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) shed 2.46% or 0.2950 points to 11.7000.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 28 to 15 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 1.16% or 0.57 to $48.36 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.02% or 0.49 to hit $47.70 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 1.67% or 21.30 to trade at $1253.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.07% to 1.1208, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.7670.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 95.26.
