Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Montepio (LS:MPIO), which rose 2.44% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.419 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 1.08% or 0.0580 points to end at 5.4250 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) was up 0.90% or 0.130 points to 14.535 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 1.85% or 0.0050 points to trade at 0.2650 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.51% or 0.0410 points to end at 2.6770 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) shed 1.09% or 0.0025 points to 0.2277.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 13 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 1.03% or 0.53 to $51.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.45% or 0.71 to hit $49.61 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.77% or 9.68 to trade at $1266.08 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.34% to 1.1172, while EUR/GBP rose 0.81% to 0.8731.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 97.39.
