Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae (LS:YSO), which rose 3.05% or 0.0300 points to trade at 1.0150 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 1.18% or 0.0040 points to end at 0.3420 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 1.05% or 0.130 points to 12.495 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 2.74% or 0.0069 points to trade at 0.2445 in late trade. Novabase SGPS (LS:NBA) declined 0.94% or 0.030 points to end at 3.170 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) shed 0.92% or 0.0080 points to 0.8650.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.53% or 0.26 to $48.65 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.73% or 0.34 to hit $46.20 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 5.76 to trade at $1233.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.04% to 1.1474, while EUR/GBP rose 0.40% to 0.8788.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 94.95.
