Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Semapa (LS:SEM), which rose 2.00% or 0.3000 points to trade at 15.3000 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) added 1.22% or 0.1700 points to end at 14.1450 and Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) was up 0.68% or 0.0060 points to 0.8880 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 2.90% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.2680 in late trade. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 1.62% or 0.0940 points to end at 5.7050 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) shed 1.35% or 0.0600 points to 4.3810.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 14 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 3.32% or 1.62 to $50.35 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 3.57% or 1.64 to hit $47.52 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 5.23 to trade at $1221.33 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.0871, while EUR/GBP fell 0.05% to 0.8403.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 99.45.
