Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.01% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LISBON:PHRA), which rose 5.15% or 0.0195 points to trade at 0.3985 at the close. Sonae (LISBON:YSO) added 2.92% or 0.0335 points to end at 1.1815 and Banco BPI (LISBON:BBPI) was up 1.54% or 0.0190 points to 1.2550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Impresa SGPS (LISBON:IMPA), which lost 5.63% or 0.04 points to trade at 0.76 in late trade. Teixeira Duarte (LISBON:TDSA) declined 4.11% or 0.0220 points to end at 0.5130 and EDP Renovaveis (LISBON:EDPRu) shed 2.10% or 0.1360 points to 6.3350.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 40 to 25 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 0.62% or 0.40 to $64.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.68% or 0.41 to hit $60.74 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.95% or 22.90 to trade at $1199.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.1373, while EUR/GBP rose 0.15% to 0.7171.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 94.25.
