Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 1.44% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS), which rose 0.54% or 0.04 points to trade at 7.40 at the close. Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) added 0.43% or 0.01 points to end at 2.34 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) was up 0.10% or 0.02 points to 19.61 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which lost 3.78% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.34 in late trade. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) declined 3.77% or 0.14 points to end at 3.47 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) shed 3.01% or 0.16 points to 5.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 9 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.12% or 0.10 to $82.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.18% or 0.14 to hit $78.36 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 1.80% or 42.40 to trade at $2,312.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 104.77.
