Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS), which rose 0.41% or 0.02 points to trade at 3.64 at the close. Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) added 0.41% or 0.01 points to end at 2.45 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 0.34% or 0.03 points to 8.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which lost 1.93% or 0.31 points to trade at 15.76 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) declined 1.26% or 0.01 points to end at 0.41 and Semapa (ELI:SEM) shed 0.82% or 0.12 points to 14.46.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 9 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.28% or 0.92 to $72.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.48% or 1.00 to hit $68.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 2.05 to trade at $2,608.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.46% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 100.42.
