Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS), which rose 1.11% or 0.08 points to trade at 7.26 at the close. Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) added 0.21% or 0.01 points to end at 2.38 and Corticeira Amorim (ELI:CORA) was up 0.11% or 0.01 points to 8.91 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR), which lost 1.90% or 0.27 points to trade at 13.96 in late trade. Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) declined 1.65% or 0.06 points to end at 3.45 and Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) shed 1.35% or 0.07 points to 4.83.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 12 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.45% or 0.35 to $77.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.45% or 0.33 to hit $73.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 2.30 to trade at $2,543.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 101.38.
