Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Technology and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.65% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP), which rose 0.59% or 0.12 points to trade at 19.72 at the close. Ren Redes Energeticas Nacionais SGPS SA (ELI:RENE) added 0.22% or 0.01 points to end at 2.29 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) was up 0.15% or 0.01 points to 3.31 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Semapa (ELI:SEM), which lost 2.04% or 0.30 points to trade at 14.38 in late trade. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) declined 2.00% or 0.11 points to end at 5.39 and EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) shed 1.95% or 0.26 points to 13.05.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was down 0.18% or 0.15 to $85.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.16% or 0.13 to hit $81.61 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.17% or 3.90 to trade at $2,340.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 105.55.
