Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Semapa (ELI:SEM), which rose 0.82% or 0.12 points to trade at 14.82 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) added 0.55% or 0.04 points to end at 7.26 and Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) was unchanged 0.09% or 0.00 points to 0.43 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which lost 2.27% or 0.06 points to trade at 2.59 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) declined 1.66% or 0.28 points to end at 16.55 and Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT) shed 1.45% or 0.25 points to 16.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 21 to 6 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.71% or 1.27 to $73.18 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.80% or 1.27 to hit $69.40 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.94% or 25.45 to trade at $2,732.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 103.39.
