Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI lost 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 4.56% or 0.16 points to trade at 3.67 at the close. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) added 3.76% or 0.01 points to end at 0.33 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was up 0.47% or 0.02 points to 4.24 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jeronimo Martins SGPS SA (ELI:JMT), which lost 1.33% or 0.26 points to trade at 19.34 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 1.17% or 0.16 points to end at 13.55 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) shed 0.89% or 0.03 points to 3.33.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.02% or 0.02 to $85.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.02% or 0.02 to hit $80.69 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 1.75 to trade at $2,345.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 104.82.
