Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP), which rose 1.05% or 0.04 points to trade at 4.03 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) added 0.72% or 0.11 points to end at 15.38 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (ELI:CTT) was up 0.56% or 0.03 points to 4.46 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which lost 4.57% or 0.12 points to trade at 2.50 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP) declined 1.58% or 0.01 points to end at 0.40 and Galp Energia Nom (ELI:GALP) shed 1.44% or 0.26 points to 17.47.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 12 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 2.17% or 1.58 to $71.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.18% or 1.51 to hit $67.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.55% or 14.10 to trade at $2,529.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.12% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 101.20.
