Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA), which rose 1.08% or 0.03 points to trade at 2.61 at the close. Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) added 0.54% or 0.04 points to end at 7.50 and Sonae SGPS SA (ELI:YSO) was up 0.53% or 0.01 points to 0.94 in late trade.
Biggest losers included EDP Energias de Portugal SA (ELI:EDP), which lost 0.90% or 0.03 points to trade at 3.42 in late trade. The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR) declined 0.87% or 0.03 points to end at 3.43 and Nos SGPS SA (ELI:NOS) shed 0.86% or 0.03 points to 3.46.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 14 to 13 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.47% or 0.34 to $72.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $68.72 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.71% or 18.86 to trade at $2,683.66 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 106.02.
