Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI declined 0.11% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI were The Navigator Company SA (ELI:NVGR), which rose 3.93% or 0.14 points to trade at 3.81 at the close. Altri SGPS SA (ELI:ALSS) added 1.99% or 0.10 points to end at 5.14 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI:IBS) was up 0.82% or 0.06 points to 7.36 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (ELI:BCP), which unchanged 1.24% or 0.00 points to trade at 0.36 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (ELI:EDPR) declined 0.97% or 0.14 points to end at 14.24 and Mota Engil SGPS SA (ELI:MOTA) shed 0.91% or 0.03 points to 3.69.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 2.15% or 1.71 to $81.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.41% or 1.82 to hit $77.35 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.75 to trade at $2,326.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.44% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 104.81.
