Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.99%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 4.84% or 0.2300 points to trade at 4.9800 at the close. The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) added 0.59% or 0.0250 points to end at 4.2460 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.07% or 0.0100 points to 14.9650 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 3.95% or 0.0160 points to trade at 0.3890 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 2.95% or 0.0970 points to end at 3.1930 and Semapa (LS:SEM) shed 2.35% or 0.3850 points to 16.0250.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 27 to 11 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.55% or 0.31 to $55.69 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.99% or 0.50 to hit $49.92 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.26 to trade at $1276.64 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.17% to 1.1764, while EUR/GBP fell 0.12% to 0.8862.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 93.27.
