Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 lost 0.85% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which rose 0.85% or 0.0280 points to trade at 3.3180 at the close. Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) added 0.50% or 0.0250 points to end at 5.0700 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) was up 0.33% or 0.030 points to 9.100 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which lost 3.24% or 0.0500 points to trade at 1.4940 in late trade. Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) declined 2.04% or 0.0049 points to end at 0.2355 and Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) shed 2.01% or 0.1400 points to 6.8100.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 11 and 2 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.98% or 0.62 to $62.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.12% or 0.61 to hit $54.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.10 to trade at $1227.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1404, while EUR/GBP fell 0.58% to 0.8857.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 96.400.
