Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO), which rose 2.89% or 0.0250 points to trade at 0.8910 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 2.46% or 0.0042 points to end at 0.1746 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was up 0.32% or 0.0250 points to 7.8850 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which lost 3.13% or 0.2300 points to trade at 7.1100 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 2.85% or 0.0500 points to end at 1.7060 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) shed 1.94% or 0.0800 points to 4.0340.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 10 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.14% or 0.80 to $70.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.96% or 0.58 to hit $60.77 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.00 to trade at $1203.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.81% to 1.1244, while EUR/GBP rose 0.16% to 0.8749.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.63% at 97.34.
