Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.55% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were F.Rama (LS:RAMA), which rose 2.09% or 0.200 points to trade at 9.750 at the close. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) added 0.99% or 0.0320 points to end at 3.2540 and EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) was up 0.83% or 0.0700 points to 8.4550 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which lost 2.68% or 0.0067 points to trade at 0.2433 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.59% or 0.0350 points to end at 2.1650 and Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) shed 1.44% or 0.0130 points to 0.8885.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 25 to 8 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.41% or 0.31 to $76.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.78% or 0.53 to hit $67.24 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.25% or 3.00 to trade at $1201.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.56% to 1.1557, while EUR/GBP fell 0.56% to 0.8939.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 95.37.
