Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which rose 6.63% or 0.0118 points to trade at 0.1898 at the close. Sonae SGPS SA (LS:YSO) added 1.52% or 0.0125 points to end at 0.8325 and REN (LS:RENE) was up 1.15% or 0.0280 points to 2.4580 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which lost 2.64% or 0.220 points to trade at 8.120 in late trade. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 2.39% or 0.1400 points to end at 5.7100 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) shed 2.11% or 0.200 points to 9.300.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 9 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.00% or 0.60 to $60.75 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.51% or 0.77 to hit $51.92 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 2.90 to trade at $1247.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.1354, while EUR/GBP fell 0.13% to 0.8991.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 97.148.
