Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Consumer Goods and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR), which rose 1.90% or 0.0820 points to trade at 4.4020 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) added 1.62% or 0.2800 points to end at 17.5400 and EDP (LS:EDP) was up 0.96% or 0.0300 points to 3.1500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which lost 5.41% or 0.0400 points to trade at 0.7000 in late trade. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) declined 3.67% or 0.0064 points to end at 0.1678 and Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS) shed 2.78% or 0.260 points to 9.100.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 10 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.14% or 0.12 to $84.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.21% or 0.16 to hit $75.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.41% or 16.80 to trade at $1208.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1560, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.8900.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 95.03.
