Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 1.57% or 0.220 points to trade at 14.250 at the close. EDP (LS:EDP) added 1.26% or 0.0400 points to end at 3.2140 and Semapa (LS:SEM) was up 1.19% or 0.1900 points to 16.1000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 3.02% or 0.0100 points to trade at 0.3210 in late trade. Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC) declined 2.86% or 0.0230 points to end at 0.7820 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) shed 1.37% or 0.0740 points to 5.3110.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 14 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.05% or 0.53 to $50.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.41% or 0.19 to hit $46.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 8.39 to trade at $1291.29 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1747, while EUR/GBP fell 0.12% to 0.9117.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 93.50.
