Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Financials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 1.84% or 0.1100 points to trade at 6.1000 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 1.47% or 0.0040 points to end at 0.2765 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 0.97% or 0.0350 points to 3.6300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae Capital (LS:SONAC), which lost 2.96% or 0.0300 points to trade at 0.9820 in late trade. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) declined 1.89% or 0.2750 points to end at 14.2650 and Sonae (LS:YSO) shed 0.89% or 0.0100 points to 1.1180.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 17 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was down 0.26% or 0.19 to $72.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.13% or 0.09 to hit $67.34 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1305.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.1966, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.8796.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 92.46.
