Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.33%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Ibersol SGPS (LS:IBS), which rose 2.37% or 0.335 points to trade at 14.490 at the close. J. Martins SGPS (LS:JMT) added 1.60% or 0.2750 points to end at 17.4600 and Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) was up 1.27% or 0.0300 points to 2.3840 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sonae (LS:YSO), which lost 0.53% or 0.0050 points to trade at 0.9440 in late trade. CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) declined 0.37% or 0.0200 points to end at 5.4150 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 0.23% or 0.0120 points to 5.3110.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 11 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.66% or 0.31 to $47.02 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.72% or 0.32 to hit $44.55 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 2.13 to trade at $1211.83 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1397, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.8851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 95.84.
