Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Utilities and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which rose 3.06% or 0.0780 points to trade at 2.6280 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 2.82% or 0.0070 points to end at 0.2550 and Montepio (LS:MPIO) was up 1.71% or 0.007 points to 0.417 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which lost 1.13% or 0.0610 points to trade at 5.3600 in late trade. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) declined 1.04% or 0.0740 points to end at 7.0100 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 0.62% or 0.0340 points to 5.4550.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 14 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.56% or 0.30 to $53.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.85% or 0.43 to hit $51.10 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 6.25 to trade at $1259.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1231, while EUR/GBP rose 0.43% to 0.8633.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 96.89.
