Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 added 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR), which rose 2.48% or 0.1850 points to trade at 7.6550 at the close. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) added 2.07% or 0.0750 points to end at 3.6900 and CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT) was up 1.78% or 0.0560 points to 3.2000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS), which lost 1.13% or 0.0540 points to trade at 4.7060 in late trade. EDP (LS:EDP) declined 0.47% or 0.0140 points to end at 2.9930 and Corticeira Amorim (LS:CORA) shed 0.40% or 0.040 points to 10.060.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 20 to 10 and 5 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 2.03% or 1.34 to $67.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 2.24% or 1.39 to hit $63.52 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 6.00 to trade at $1311.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.62% to 1.2259, while EUR/GBP fell 0.49% to 0.8753.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.48% at 89.90.
