Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Montepio (LS:MPIO), which rose 8.70% or 0.036 points to trade at 0.450 at the close. EDP Renovaveis (LS:EDPR) added 1.02% or 0.0630 points to end at 6.2130 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 0.61% or 0.0050 points to 0.8260 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 1.04% or 0.0040 points to trade at 0.3800 in late trade. Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) declined 0.72% or 0.1000 points to end at 13.8100 and Nos SGPS SA (LS:NOS) shed 0.29% or 0.0150 points to 5.2330.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 11 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 0.68% or 0.38 to $55.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.47% or 0.25 to hit $53.18 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.45 to trade at $1225.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.0573, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.8483.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 101.27.
