Investing.com – Portugal equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 rose 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 1.32% or 0.0030 points to trade at 0.2304 at the close. Semapa (LS:SEM) added 0.82% or 0.1250 points to end at 15.3550 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) was up 0.77% or 0.1150 points to 15.0700 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA), which lost 2.00% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.3430 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.83% or 0.0540 points to end at 2.8970 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) shed 1.24% or 0.0510 points to 4.0510.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 16 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.96% or 0.56 to $57.87 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.48% or 0.25 to hit $51.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.03% or 13.55 to trade at $1297.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.1766, while EUR/GBP fell 0.39% to 0.8764.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.64% at 93.03.
