Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Auto & components, Insurance and Energy sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 4.78% or 0.5 points to trade at 9.9 at the close. Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) added 2.62% or 9.1 points to end at 356.4 and Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) was up 1.56% or 1.1 points to 68.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL), which lost 9.58% or 3.2 points to trade at 30.2 in late trade. Storebrand ASA (OL:STB) declined 3.81% or 1.26 points to end at 31.77 and Orkla ASA (OL:ORK) shed 3.66% or 2.65 points to 69.85.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 102 to 70 and 19 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 2.96% or 1.23 to $40.27 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.51% or 1.10 to hit $42.74 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.82% or 10.10 to trade at $1236.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.26% to 9.2982, while USD/NOK fell 0.10% to 8.2302.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 94.62.
