Investing.com – Poland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Food, Construction and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which rose 3.11% or 1.66 points to trade at 54.96 at the close. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 2.46% or 0.25 points to end at 10.40 and Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA:PZU) was up 2.32% or 1.01 points to 44.48 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which lost 3.26% or 9.00 points to trade at 266.80 in late trade. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) declined 2.68% or 0.63 points to end at 22.92 and Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) shed 1.88% or 0.90 points to 46.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 315 to 220 and 186 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.88% or 0.56 to $64.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.75% or 0.50 to hit $67.54 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 2.00 to trade at $1332.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.06% to 4.1691, while USD/PLN rose 0.01% to 3.3906.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 89.89.
