Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Energy and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.30%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which rose 3.61% or 1.15 points to trade at 33.05 at the close. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 2.37% or 0.32 points to end at 13.80 and CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) was up 2.13% or 1.70 points to 81.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which lost 2.04% or 139.75 points to trade at 6701.00 in late trade. CCC SA (WA:CCCP) declined 1.43% or 3.40 points to end at 234.90 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) shed 1.35% or 1.47 points to 107.68.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 261 to 227 and 175 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.88% or 0.39 to $44.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.88% or 0.41 to hit $47.12 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.67 to trade at $1212.37 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.05% to 4.2399, while USD/PLN rose 0.04% to 3.7198.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 95.81.
