Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Banking and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 1.13% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP), which rose 6.83% or 0.54 points to trade at 8.45 at the close. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) added 6.15% or 4.40 points to end at 76.00 and mBank (WA:MBK) was up 4.75% or 21.70 points to 479.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH), which lost 2.06% or 2.58 points to trade at 122.65 in late trade. Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) declined 1.67% or 2.11 points to end at 123.92 and Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) shed 0.56% or 0.41 points to 72.74.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 266 to 222 and 186 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.33% or 0.19 to $57.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.73% or 0.47 to hit $63.80 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.42% or 5.37 to trade at $1276.23 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.16% to 4.2454, while USD/PLN rose 0.36% to 3.6642.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 94.82.
