Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Energy and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 1.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which rose 3.12% or 0.88 points to trade at 29.13 at the close. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 3.00% or 0.38 points to end at 13.03 and Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN) was up 2.87% or 0.17 points to 6.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which lost 1.53% or 0.86 points to trade at 55.29 in late trade. Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) declined 0.73% or 0.37 points to end at 50.47 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) shed 0.72% or 1.95 points to 270.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 290 to 219 and 160 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 1.41% or 0.82 to $57.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 1.70% or 1.10 to hit $63.59 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.59% or 7.30 to trade at $1239.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.25% to 4.2105, while USD/PLN rose 0.64% to 3.5918.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 94.18.
