Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Developers sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.62%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which rose 5.22% or 1.25 points to trade at 25.20 at the close. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) added 4.62% or 0.90 points to end at 20.40 and Text SA (WA:TXTP) was up 3.91% or 2.80 points to 74.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which lost 1.82% or 3.20 points to trade at 173.00 in late trade. Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) declined 1.19% or 1.16 points to end at 96.42 and Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT) shed 1.13% or 30.00 points to 2,635.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 260 to 237 and 111 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.28% or 0.19 to $67.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.23% or 0.16 to hit $71.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.93% or 25.00 to trade at $2,669.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.02% to 4.27, while USD/PLN rose 0.15% to 3.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 100.20.
