Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Food and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.32%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which rose 5.58% or 1.14 points to trade at 21.57 at the close. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) added 5.51% or 1.34 points to end at 25.64 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) was up 1.54% or 0.70 points to 46.26 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which lost 2.05% or 1.50 points to trade at 71.50 in late trade. LPP SA (WA:LPPP) declined 1.48% or 120.00 points to end at 8005.00 and Kruk SA (WA:KRU) shed 1.48% or 3.00 points to 200.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 12 and 1 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.01% or 0.69 to $69.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.21% or 0.96 to hit $80.25 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1230.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.22% to 4.2950, while USD/PLN fell 0.75% to 3.7302.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.29% at 95.44.
