Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Media, Basic Materials and Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.21%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS), which rose 2.35% or 0.30 points to trade at 13.09 at the close. Kruk SA (WA:KRU) added 2.35% or 10.40 points to end at 453.40 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) was up 2.13% or 0.54 points to 25.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Allegro (WA:ALEP), which lost 2.25% or 0.88 points to trade at 38.27 in late trade. LPP SA (WA:LPPP) declined 0.94% or 140.00 points to end at 14,790.00 and Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) shed 0.94% or 0.09 points to 8.93.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 265 to 252 and 101 ended unchanged on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.65% or 0.49 to $75.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.75% or 0.60 to hit $79.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 2.50 to trade at $2,540.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.15% to 4.27, while USD/PLN fell 0.19% to 3.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 101.84.
