Investing.com – Poland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Media, Construction and Information Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the WIG30 were X Trade Brokers Dom Maklerski SA (WA:XTB), which rose 3.08% or 2.08 points to trade at 69.54 at the close. BUDIMEX SA (WA:BDXP) added 2.25% or 10.40 points to end at 473.40 and Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:KTY) was up 1.26% or 8.50 points to 685.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which lost 2.79% or 0.58 points to trade at 20.20 in late trade. Orange Polska SA (WA:OPL) declined 1.88% or 0.14 points to end at 7.29 and Kruk SA (WA:KRU) shed 0.91% or 3.80 points to 415.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.09% or 0.06 to $70.10 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.24% or 0.90 to hit $73.22 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $2,633.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.41% to 4.27, while USD/PLN rose 0.26% to 4.10.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.00.
