Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.32% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banif SA (LS:BANIF), which rose 4.00% or 0.0001 points to trade at 0.0025 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 3.53% or 0.0130 points to end at 0.3810 and Impresa SGPS (LS:IMPA) was up 1.79% or 0.0100 points to 0.5600 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Teixeira Duarte (LS:TDSA), which lost 1.77% or 0.0070 points to trade at 0.3890 in late trade. Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS) declined 1.70% or 0.0860 points to end at 4.9720 and Galp Energia Nom (LS:GALP) shed 1.54% or 0.1450 points to 9.2520.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 26 to 26 and 3 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 1.43% or 0.65 to $44.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.73% or 1.14 to hit $40.61 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.30 to trade at $1080.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.84% to 1.0725, while EUR/GBP fell 0.71% to 0.7052.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.66% at 99.22.
