Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Services, Property and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC), which rose 3.48% or 0.190 points to trade at 5.650 at the close. Ayala Corp (PS:AC) added 1.88% or 15.000 points to end at 815.000 and Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) was up 1.84% or 1.50 points to 83.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB), which lost 1.97% or 4.20 points to trade at 209.00 in late trade. BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) declined 1.87% or 2.10 points to end at 110.50 and Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) shed 1.79% or 0.450 points to 24.650.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 96 to 82 and 55 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.04% or 0.45 to $1211.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.15% or 0.08 to hit $52.73 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.20% or 0.11 to trade at $55.47 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.05% to 7.2286, while USD/PHP fell 0.03% to 49.750.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 99.65.
