Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Property sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN), which rose 7.04% or 1.02 points to trade at 15.50 at the close. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) added 3.98% or 0.790 points to end at 20.650 and PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) was up 2.30% or 35.00 points to 1560.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which lost 2.96% or 9.00 points to trade at 295.00 in late trade. BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) declined 2.91% or 4.50 points to end at 150.00 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) shed 2.90% or 0.600 points to 20.100.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 118 to 84 and 60 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.06% or 0.80 to $1328.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.15% or 0.09 to hit $61.24 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.12% or 0.08 to trade at $64.42 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.09% to 8.2354, while USD/PHP rose 0.04% to 52.069.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 89.60.
